DirectX 9

This is a discussion about DirectX 9 in the General Software category; Hey guys, I am downloading DirectX 9.0 from the internet now. I had DirectX 8.0 and what is the difference between DirectX 8.0 and DirectX 9.0??????? I would like to have DirectX 9a.

Hey guys,

I am downloading DirectX 9.0 from the internet now. I had DirectX 8.0 and what is the difference between DirectX 8.0 and DirectX 9.0??????? I would like to have DirectX 9a.

Where can I download it? Please give me the website. Is DirectX 9a a good programme?????? Will the graphic come really really good????? What is the difference between DirectX 9.0 and DirectX 9a???????

I could answer these questions in detail, but I am going to choose the short route.

DX9.0a = A update to fix bugs in 9.0.

DX9 = Required by almost all new games.
DX9 = The new DirectX standard for all new video cards.

DX9 Hardware support:
Radeon 9500+
All GeForce FX Series

DX9 Software:
All earlier cards.

As far as the download go to the Microsoft website and look on the directX page (which isn't working right now)
I sure they have a mirror in OZ

BTW DirectX9.0 had some serious errors, so definatly get the 9.0a file

to answere your question ... unless a game really needs DX9.0 u will notice NO difference ...
