Well I downloaded and installed the latest drivers for the Nforce boards...
I own and Asus A7N8X Deluxe v2 board and none of the drivers have worked in the past except those released by Asus which were like 1.16 and were older drivers.
The old Snap, Crackle and Pop of sounds, repeating sounds and other known and frequently mentioned problems with Nvidias drivers for these boards may have finally been fixed.
They may have finally gotten it right???
I've installed these and I have had not a single problem on my board, all the known or ever mentioned problems are completely gone...
Soundstorm works perfectly without a sinlge hicup and of course the video drivers are a major plus - but I've already been using those since they leaked to the web.
Way to go Nvidia finally releasing quality drivers that work the way they were meant to by having the Unified Driver base...

huh I never had any serious problems with nv drivers ..... very easy to install they work good .... I got nothing to say about nvidia about drivers ....
Well the 3.13 drivers(to make it short) caused data corruption on my disk and made everything unreadable. I think this doesn´t need another comment about Nvidias driver quality...
Read some of the newsgroups and forums (nforcerhq.com), lots of people are having problems with the latest drivers, including myself. Fortunately I got it resolved and everything seems to be working, for now anyways.
yes driver si problematic .... no data lost up to now .... but got some warnings by XP

Anyone who is having this issue with the new 3.13 SW IDE driver with file corruption email NVIDIA tech support here Support@nvidia.com. No need to RMA your board as this is just a driver issue I have been in five different forums with people having this same issue including myself.

Well that all is too bad but perhaps an email for the support could reallly help them fixing this issue. After all I reinstalled yesterday the 3.13 without the SW Driver and everything seems to work fine by now. After all this problem gave me the time to install a new CPU cooler which wasn´t a bad decision at all :)
I didn't rma the board, just the hard drive...it's toast
