How can I get that bar across the bottom of the screen that shows the CPU usuage, Internet usage, Time, Email, and Hard Drive space??

geez Kyro, i spent a lot of time myself trying to replicate ur desktop .. downloaded samurize, rainlender etc cant seem to get it right. how abt putting up the wallpaper, icons etc for download? how much RAM u got? my system crawls when i use themes

I have got several mails and i am tired to typing all the steps to do . so a tutorial is a perfrect idea.

5 days back .. and i wasnt even bothered abt my desktop and now i've been busy trying to replicate 2 desktops (wonder why :roll: )..the other being DMX (nice theme ..more for the utility part)



regarding the icons ..the GANT download's like over 50 mb :oops: , I'll do with my Y'z icons for now ..

u mean the GANt icons? ...i'm new to this myself; but all u gotto do is edit the ini file (start menu -> ....samurize -> config and open SteveFC's ini file ), click on the icons one by one and in Tools & Settings->Edit Graphics->PNG Properties , browse and select any other icon (32 bit PNG only) , save the ini file, "reload config" from systray and bob's ur uncle!!

OK , i think not many people on Warp2search are in Desktop modding . And i know Warp2search has 100s of guest users logged on site any given second during the day .

I would like to give Xplanation for my extreme desktop monitoring.

Beside iCandy whorzage , my extreme modding does serve great purpore in my total PC experience.

This XP home installation was done some 6 months ago. I use and abuse it with all sort of alpha softewares and beta drivers. also i develop lots of vb apps and asp sites ; but this installation has stayed rock solid and this all due to my desktop monitor whorage.

When any second some programme hangs or leaks memory or my cpu temp shoots up, i dont have to wait for hours or days to know something is wrong with the app or driver. i get alerted quickly and i take care of that particular malware. This way my XP stays clean and fast and i dont have to run Installation every two months.

So , i would encourage all warp2search users to install this monitoring software (Cool mon or Samurize) on their systems.

if you find it very tough to install this monitors, post it here or the software providers forum and you will get lots of helping hands (including me)

and the iCandy doesnt hurts if you got more than 256 MB ram (i have 512 MB DDR 2700 ).

IF you install these software/s and ur "Desent Config system" start skipping its heart beat (momemtory freeze) , then there already is something wrong.

yeah yeah ... after ur post I got CoolMon .... its nice CPU usage and who uses most and so on really nice but as soon as I loose some performance its useless for me .... OK I did not loose any noticable performance but game began to stutter ... for example aquanox .. one of those game - which is btw very sensitive in this case - began to stutter every ... hmmm 5 seconde there was a 0,1 sec stop and return to normal operation ... nothing sooooooo harmfull but noticable and since I know that this was coolmon I shut it down .... so if don't play any games which are harmed by such an app it totally OK and really nice but if I have to look all time ... nah do I need to shutdown coolmon now or not it starts to get annoying and then ... huh where the autostart and *pang* its dead ... maybe I will try CoolMon 2.0 but huh I don't really miss it ... its like an AVS for winamp its nice but I can fully live without it ...

ya ... coolmon does have some problems with games.. i played NFSU demo .. and the right side of the screen did shutter whenever coolmon was up. and i had to shut it down

apart from this coolmon created no prob whatsoever and had very low CPU or ram usage :)
