use the exact size in bits DIV 2 take a knife and do a very sharp and clean cut

no for real the tool above works .... if its codec like Xvid or something unknow by this tool just use FourCC and chage it to divx before cut and back to xxx after

Avi Splitter is a good/easy tool for what you want, but I'd also like to recommend VirtualDub. It is definitely the best free video editing software out there (also open source). It is quite powerful and updated pretty frequently.

AVI Splitter you gotta buy for it to cut the second half of a cut .
Ok ill try Virtual Dub

A quick Googling will show plenty of tutorials on how to use VirtualDub, but if you need some quick help on figuring out how to split movies, let me know. It's not all that difficult, I'll give you a quick run-down on how to do it.
