CRT Monitor got F'd up
This is a discussion about CRT Monitor got F'd up in the General Hardware category; I was playing counter strike and got owned and nailed my keyboard so hard that my monitor probably broke. Right before the picture went away there was a white vertical line then total blackness.

I was playing counter strike and got owned and nailed my keyboard so hard that my monitor probably broke. Right before the picture went away there was a white vertical line then total blackness. The green light is still works on it. I tried disconnecting everything and waiting some hours then plugged it back in but the monitor is still black. I'm wondering if theres any way to fix it without sending it in for RMA because I need to play CS right now. Thank you.

if ur in US just sell it in ebay for 100$ (found a shotgun shooted Laptop there,that crazy)

You broke your monitor by smashing your keyboard?
You sure that you didnt activate the screensaver or energy saving hotkey while you where "hitting" your keyboard? :P

You probably deserve a broken monitor if you hit it with your keyboard while playing CS, doesn't sound to me like you should own a computer at all, instead of buying a new one, maybe put the money on som councelling or anger management program? I keep reading in the papers that computer games make youngsters aggresive, now that can't be true?! *ironic post* :)
