Hi

Running XP Pro. I was trying out the demo of splinter cell. Game crashed with the error - not enough video memory. I checked the properties for the card, it's shown as only having 32mb...

I am using nvida 41.09 drivers..

Anyone seen this before...

Thanks in advance

(I have searched the forum, but cannot find any mention of this particular problem)

What amount of memory does your manual/GFX card docmentation tell you have? as i presume you are saying your card has more then 32MB!

Also what system requirements does Splinter call specify to run the game?

try other drivers........
if that aint it, check your card for visaul defects on the memory, or try reseating your card

the game works with a Geforce2.

Also check for BIOS updates for your card!

You don't say what OS you're using but check these two links for common fixes for this problem:
http://www.technologyvault.co.uk/geforce/f...rog=gef〈=en

and

http://www.technologyvault.co.uk/geforce/f...rog=gef〈=en

(In fact the 1st link actually specifies the Creative cards as having this problem, and says to upgrade the video bios to fix it. (the link they give is only to the GF1, you'll have to search creative's site for the GF4 updates.
