Creative cack!
I would advise against anyone buying an audigy 2 sound card for pc games. The card is very demanding and causes problems in games such as jerky graphics and sound.

I also bought a set of creative inspire 6700 speakers which worked fine for about a week then i started getting popping and large thuds coming from the sub. After going to the creative forum i for this is happening to nearley every set so i had to take them back to the shop as well as the audigy sound card!.
I guess the lesson is don't believe all the crap you read in the magazines!!

I've had a number of creative cards over the years. Including a SB16,SB128, SBLive platinium and my currently audigy platinium and I've never had a problem at all with them appart from when I had some popping and crackling with a faulty KT400 mobo I bought.
But it works 100% np with my current KT400 mobo...shitty Gigabyte motherboards lol

My speakers crackle and pop too
Ive got altec lansings,
this only happens on cards with dolby digital support,
if you lower the volume in windows to about 75% for wav and master control, you shouldnt have a problem

nikemarine ??? why do you own a SBLive 5.1 if you can use the onboard AC97 5.1 audio card ?????
SbLive 5.1 is better ?????
i am going to buy a Nforce 2 mobo and i want to know if the onboard soundcard is a good choice...
thanks!
my onboard isnt the sound storm onboard sound. the ILSR version of mine has that,
ive had this sound card for a while
Ive got friends with the onboard sound storm and it works nicely, i must admit,
