Control problems...

Since I've got my Radeon card I've been having quite a few problems linked to controls in games.
In half-life, for instance, I can't redefine controls in the menu (arrow keys mainly) since instead of redefining it just moves the menu (hence why I cant define arrow keys, insert, delete, etc) and my shift key is for some reason constantly under use...
- This first appeared in Catalyst 3.4.
In wolfenstein I get the same problem with the shift key. It forces me to play without the shift key, since if I define it the shift key is always permanently on. I have no idea why both these games do this.

Any ideas?

ffs stop being suck a wanker I was suggesting num-lock because of his arrow key problem. I've had incidents where when i press arrows with numlock off and it moves up the screen where as when I press the arrow keys with num-lock on they work perfectly.

There is a known issue with ATI control panel in Catalyst 3.4, and looks like its still in the 3.5s. Whereby having NUMBER lock ON, causes keys not to be recognised in games and apps. I had the issue when trying to play RTCW, simply turn off number lock b4 playing, and it'll be fine Im sure. :)

I got the same problem now i first noticed it on the 3.5 drivers so i uninstalled them and put the 3.4 drivers on but i still have the same problem of the shift key not working!! what the fuck is going on? i tried turning of num lock it didnt work.

Cat 3.2 works with HL - albeit laggy
