CMR 2005 demo hangs
This is a discussion about CMR 2005 demo hangs in the Warp2search Hang Out category; I downloaded Colin McRae Rally 2005 Demo, but it hangs upon start. U start the exe, and just after doing that the game crashes. Has any1 had the same problem? :x Thx for reply My config: Asus P4c800 deluxe, p4 2.

Asus P4c800 deluxe, p4 2.8ghz, 1gb RAM ddr400, hercules 9800 pro, hercules fortissimoIII soundcard, sata 160gb hdd.
winXP sp2 - dx9c - spirit driver 1.5 (cat4.9b).
Has any1 had the same problem? :x

Oh thanx, but it looks pretty quite the same as in the previous release of the game, and considering your system specs, i must say that the 3d engine has remained as poor and obsolete (considering the slow FPS) as it was :cry:
But....gameplay is everything in CMR and this is still a demo :D

The images taken are in 1280 x 1024 @ 85 Hz, 24 bit Z-BUffer & 4x AA; Quality Setting 1
All Details on high... so I guess, there might be some more frames on "better" machines.
Default setting in my cp of the graphic-card: 4 x AA, 2 X AF, high quality settings....
It was still quiet playable though!

try to install 4.8 offical cat
kill any norton application
cleanup your autostart - if you don't know what to delete and what not give us a screenshot
