hello folks
I have an ASUS A7N266-E mobo (nForce 1 chipset) and Athlon XP1800+, 256 megs. I would like to upgrade my geforce whatever integrated graphics to a radeon9700 pro . Do you think my mobo-cpu combination would end up as bottleneck for the vid card  ? Should I settle for a lower-end one?

go with a ati 9500, you can software mod it to a 9700 and its about half the price, get one from www.newegg.com
also buy 256mbs more of ram

or get a cheap FX there better with nForce2'z :)
Your system should work fine with a 9700 Pro.

well i guess its unanimous ...I go for the 9700 pro , and that too for a really affordable price of just over $100 ...does that sound fishy? I'm yet to confirm the board make tho. Anyways thanks for all the help. Cheers!!
The Radeon 9500 Pro which can be modded into a 9700, isn't being produced anymore. Only the firt models were able to do that. I would buy a 9700 Pro if i were you.
