hi there everyone. bit of a stupid problem, but one thats bugging me.
i have 3 different game pads - gravis gamepad pro, modded xbox controller with psxpad drivers and a playstation2 pad with a usb adaptor and drivers. Im using winxp pro sp1 and several games and emulators.
Now, what i wanna be able to do is change the order of the pads as they appear in the control panel (1st, gravis 2nd, xbox 3rd, ps2)
For example, i wanna use the gravis pad for player 1 in one game , but then i wanna let player 2 use it in another game.
However, there seems to be absolutely no way to do this, and emulators like mame instantly map the first controller in the list to player 1, the second to player 2, etc.
btw, changin the order in which I plug in the pads does not work. It always defaults to the order stated above.
I have a feelin it has something to do with the order I installed the pads drivers in the first place, so im guessin some registry hacking will be needed to solve my problem.
Can anybody offer some help, or maybe there is a program around that lets u change the order of pads in xp??
Im keepin my fingers crossed hopin u guys can help
Many Thanx
