I have owned every VIA chipset from KT133A to KT400. My last two boards were Gigabyte GA-7VRXP KT333 & Abit KD7-RAID KT400. Both of these I have now found to be inferior to nForce2, and not just by a small amount. Let's put it this way..... I used to score an average of 10,200 3DMarks with my AthlonXP 2000+, GF4 Ti4400 & 512MB PC2700 on the KT333. That went up to around 10,600 with the Abit KT400. My last test of the nForce2 scored 12,850 with the very same components running at identical speeds. In my opinion, 128-bit memory bus is the way to go.
Congratulations to Chaintech for bringing us this fine example of how motherboards should be made. I highly recommend this board.
BTW it has adjustable multiplier with latest BIOS :-)

A7N8X-Deluxe has Dual LAN & Realtek 6-CH with Dolby 5.1 encoder onboard. Otherwise both boards are similar. I don't know if A7N8X has adjustable multiplier...
The Chaintech is black and yellow, the ASUS is......well ASUS.
My only complaints with the Chaintech are layout design.
The resistors are too close to the CPU socket and there's f**k all clearance between the DIMM & AGP. Thats about it.
