Audigy 2 platinum remote
This is a discussion about Audigy 2 platinum remote in the General Hardware category; How dose this remote works ? do i have to have some program running in the background in order for it to work ? theres nothing in the manual about it. Thanks.

The remote does need to be activated by a special program.
look under your start menu for "CreativeCreative Mediasource"
You should see a shortcut named "Enable Remote Control"
Click that & a confirmation box should appear asking
"do you want to enable the Mediasource remote?"
select "Yes". Your remote should now work.
Here is where the shortcut goes
"X:Program FilesCreativeMediaSourceRemoteControlCTENRem.exe"
that is unless you changed the default install directory.

thanks for the help it worked ! do you know if i can use any other program to use the remote like Girder ?
As far as I know only creative apps will respond to the remote.
For instance Creative MediaSource will let the remote control play
your cd's or PC Music Library. No other 3rd party progs I know of
can handle a creative Remote example "WinDVD, or PowerDVD".
