since ati got a unified driver model (just like nv) they should work on r300, too, and bring us the new catalyst user interface.

you can install the control panel from the driver, though
unzip the package, go to "CPanel" in your x800-driver's directory and use setup.exe to install the control panel.
differences to older versions: Windows Media Acceleration can finally be enabled!

I'm DL them now... if they can't be installed on other card than the X800 I'll mod them and post the modded *.inf file here afterward! Don't expect them right away, the DL speed is very low :-?

Thanks for the links, but I already tried them, and I don't know if their server is speed limited OR under heavy load, but I never got a fast download from this site. ever. :cry:

using getright & segmented downloading, the DL maxed out my connection, so I guess that a single connection is speed limited to ~20kb/s!

I just finished modding the file needed to install these drivers on every radeon, just overwrite the file on the "ati_040420a2-015166E-x800" folder with the ones from this archive:

Edit: working fine now!

ha ha, for me, enabling this caused some videos to actually be accelerated! literrally running the video many, many, many times faster than it should, while preserving the proper audio, so it would finish showing the visual, and the audio would eventually finish on time

I think the performance on Far Cry improved after installing on my 9700pro the leaked drivers..!!!! Dont know why or how...i even have enabled the Temporal AA in registry and the game worked better than b4 with cat4.4....hope im right and not just influenced by the dream of faster FPS :)

well, funny thing, but I can't enable WMV-accelleration anymore with FrancoisC's drivers - it just works if u install the cpanel alone and use the older catalyst?!
