ASUS Maximus Formula Special Edition

This is a discussion about ASUS Maximus Formula Special Edition in the General Hardware category; I'm about to buy ASUS Maximus Formula Special Edition and since I won't be using any liquid cooling for now I would like to ask if it is ok to operate the motherboard without having water cooling on north bridge or will it heat like hell and burn? help me pls thanks in advance

of course u can use it the "normal" way....only if ur overclocking much then u should use watercooling

just by looking at the huge cooler size ... I would agree with DB ... some other board have a much smaller cooling solution which is sufficient enough

and since you are not going to water-cool it ... the airflow from the CPU cooler should boost the performance significantly.
