APE to MP3s

This is a discussion about APE to MP3s in the General Hardware category; My friend have some. ape music file, how to convert this. ape file to MP3 file. This. ape file is like an image for a cd it does not split between track. It is one whole file with all the track joining together.

My friend have some .ape music file, how to convert this .ape file to MP3 file. This .ape file is like an image for a cd it does not split between track. It is one whole file with all the track joining together. is there a way to convert this file to mp3 and split all the track in between?

you can do 2 things

1.
get mp3CUE (see forum here) and just create a .cue (or search for a .cue) for this CD and play the file with the APE plugin for winamp ...

or 2.
get http://www.dbpoweramp.com
convert it to MP3 and use a splitter like
http://www.ezsoftmagic.com/
to split it - there are free alternatives but I found this one to be the most ezy one WITH support for .cue
