Check your Bios settings and update your bios if an update is available. It sounds like the settings are set at default for your motherboard. Check the manufacters web site for more info. I had the same problem with a 2100+ and that took care of it. :P

i got a AMD Athlon XP 2000+ myself.. and it runs 1666Mhz.. but i think you got running 100FSB running instead of 133FSB in your BIOS

Check it out and see ;)

The best thing to do is go to the Gigabyte Web site and download the owners manual for your motherboard it should have step by step directions on how to set up the bios settings. I agree with SUPR3M3 I bet the fsb is set to 100 and it sould be 133. That is the front side bus speed setting. You should be able to enter the bios menu by hitting the "Delete key'" during boot up before winxp loads. I hope this helps But do not change any settings without consulting the manual first or you may have so problems but check the FSB it should be 133 if not change it . that will not cause you any other problems.

LOL my 2000+ was set @ 1.2GHz when I installed it, I was so mad because I upgraded from a T-Bird 1.2GHz and I didn't notice a diffrence, until I checked the BIOS.

I changed something in my bios it was called something like Clock frequncy or something when I changed my computer wouldnt start anymore. To make it start I had to take the battery out then put it back in. Now my clock was behind when I booted my pc up. I changed the time but I dont know weather it's working properly now.
