Albatron ti4200 unstable at 83mhz agp bus
lol, this just fixed my sound problems in Unreal Tournament! No more distorted sound now and again!

Ok Ok i know 83mhz is way overspec but is there anyway i can increase its stability running at this bus speed ??
Rig :-
1.4@1.577 166mhz FSB 9.5x multi 1.85vcore temp 41 degs
MOBO is a KT266 chipset Jetway 866as mobo
512 mb PC2100 at 166mhz CL2.5 as Cl2 is unstable Voltage 2.5v
Albatron Ti4200 at 280/650 running 4xagp with FW and SBA both on.
Would it be more stable if i turned FW and SBA off ??
In the bios i can change the agp and dimm driving strength, Vcc3 up to 3.63v, agp vcc3 up to 3.58, agp vddq upto 1.7 and vdimm upto 2.8v..
Changing the Vddq to anything higher than default causes system to post then crash b4 getting into windows. same with agp vcc3 if i select higher than 3.4v.
But my old MX2 card works fine at these speeds pointing to a psu issue. my psu is only a 350watter so maybes the TI4200 is drawing too much on this bus speed ??
Any help appreciated
Thanx in advance
Kev

Maybe your computer is dying!
Well, its probably to do with voltage of the board, or the AGP bus sorry

Best bet is the AGP frequency cant be handled by ur grafix card.
Some graphics cards handle high frequencies better or even without a problem than other.
If thats not the situation, have u tried lowering memory settings? what memory are u currently running?
Another thing increase or decrease your aperture memory size ?
Play with these few suggestions and reply if it worked.
