First Of All.. I'm Finally Back @ W2S!
I was kinda busy the last few months so i didn't post much at the Mainpage.. But Now that's gonna change
A few days ago i went from a Nvidia GeForce 3 to a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro!!
And the Card really rocks!!
All my games are much smoother and looking much better!
I only have a problem.. Some of those games (like MoHAA) i can't play good @ 1024x768
If i do, my CRT goes kinda BOLD (don't know the right word for it) it looks really weird! (like a telescope)
I have that same problem if i got 1024x768 @ 60Hz on WindowsXP, but i work with 1024x768 @ 75Hz
So i think that MoHAA is working on 60Hz!
I Never had this problem before, so i don't know if there is a fix, tool or something like that for it!
And i have a question!
What is The Best ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Tool/Tweaker??
Thanks

hmmm do you have a monitor driver file ? this could fix the problem
its in most cases just one .inf file telling the PC what refreshrates @ which resolutions are possible and which not ...
just atuner ... nothing more ... you do not need to tweak anything and if ya want ..go for Omegas driver

I personally find no usefull tweaker ...
ATItoll is awesome to find best OC values ... but no tweaker directly ..
the rage3d is IMHO total BS since extreme autostarts that can't be deinstalled or .... na I just hate autostarts most when I am not asked ...
do you have some kind of refreshrate fix installed ???
and if yes what happens if do not ... if ya have search the forum there wa a topic by me about this .. since you got a monitor driver you can sh** on any refreshrate tool
atuner is just a very very quick tool to access things from controlpanel like FSAA AF VSync and some other little options ...
in my eyes there is no need to tweak anything on a 9800PRO ... at least I did not found any usefull thing ...
just leave it as it is and it works great ... I am very satisfied with it
the only thing really sucking about ati is the driverupgrade ... its totally messed up ... nVidia is light years ahead in this ...

"I personally find no usefull tweaker"
so, i think the same
the only thing i use for my Geforce is Coolbits....
all other progs, esp. Tweaker progs are BS -MY OPINION-

Thanks already for the information!
But i don't use any refreshrate tool or something like that!
And you are right the Radeon 9800 Pro works great!!
I'm glad i bought the card!
I was just thinking about my problem..
I play games like NFS: Underground, UT2004 Demo @ 1024x768
And i don't have that problem with those games!
I only have the problem with MoHAA and with 3DMark2001 SE For Now
So it could be a problem with the game & program??
EDIT: I was searching for some refresh tools i found 2:
RefreshForce
RefreshFix
Maybe these could help my problem?

so you told something about some grafical errors ...
the 60Hz bug = the refreshrate (not on desktop) is always 60 Hz when you play game or something like that ... is that right ?
If I am right have a look at this topic

you do not need any tool if ya got you .inf file for monitor ... if you don't get it post ya inf here and I'll have a look
