9700pro hands down, unless the 9700pro has a defect or something?
*Definately* the 9700pro, unless there's something seriously wrong with it (overclocking damage ect.), it will beat the 9600pro (and 9500pro) in everything.
a no-brainer for the 9700 Pro, even better if you can get the original sales receipt for it for warranty purposes if needed...

Yeah ThudZ3ro is right, get the receipt and make sure that you test before you buy.
ATI Radeon 9700 pro. ATI Radeon 9700 pro is still better than ATI Radeon 9600 pro. Whatever if it is old or not, but still it is better than ATI Radeon 9600 pro. So buy ATI Radeon 9600 pro.
9700 pro hands down best card ever bar 9800 and 9800XT :)
