9500Pro or 9600Pro ?

From the benchmarks, the 9600 Pro is an incredible overclocker and can acheive the same performance than an overclocked 9500 Pro. So, what do you suggest me to buy ? What's going to be better overall ?

it looks te same running it on 60fps or 120 fps

I would suggest that ATI Radeon 9500 pro will be better.

all DX9 features seems enough for me at the moment...
I've had my 9500 pro for about six months now and I can tell you that I've never been so impressed with a $200 (USD) purchase.
The AA and AF are magnificent and keep the game running at playable speeds. One of my favorite things to do is show off GTA Vice city running with 4xAA and AF enabled at 1024x768 to people who tell me the PS2 is just as good as a decent gaming computer. The image quality smacks the crap outta any nVidia product I've seen. The DVD playback is smoother than my old hardware dvd decoder and can only recall a handfull of graphical artifacts in recently released games (Halflife/Counterstrike, Jedi Knight 2, GTA Vice City, both fixed in patches and driver releases).
I've seen the 9600 pros in action and I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between the two but benchmarks tell me that the 9500 pro has a bit more muscle out of the box.
I'd say go with whatever one you can find for cheaper.

I have an ATI 9500 Pro coupled with AMD Athlon XP 2100 + VIA KT400 system. Games play fast and smooth. Although it has faster clock rates the ATI 9600 PRO is a 4 pixel pipeline card, 9500 Pro is 8 pipline but 128 bit memory interface unlike 9700s 256 bit. ATI adopted a very interesting strategy:
8500 to 9000
9000 to 9200
9500 to 9600

9500 pro has a 128 bit memory interface, with 8 pipes
9500 has a 256 bit, but with ½ the pipelines disabled.

Some NEW pcb models from Sapphire has 128 bit memory unlike the old ones .Just check how the memories are layed.

yep the black pcb is the new one, which is 128bit.

you can easily tell the way memory is set up.

yea i bought mine when the rumour first got out (it was a regular 9500 then). it was just for testing and playing with, but even if it didnt work it was a ok upgrade from my 8500
I sold 2 of my 8500 128 LE and got 9500 Pro instead but keeping my 9200 128 Mb as reserve for testing purposes. :)

You better buy ATI Radeon 9600 pro. I am telling you from the information you have given.
I would go for ATI Radeon 9600 pro because it is much better than ATI Radeon 9500 pro. ATI Radeon 9600 pro gets more marks in 3D Mark 2001 and 2003 than ATI Radeon 9500 pro.
In response to the origonal post, get a 9500-NON-PRO. That is the card that can mutate into a 9700PRO without a problem.
But if you don't really know what the above means, than get the 9500PRO, the price makes it a better card.

Actually the 9500 Pro is alot faster and Better for that matter. From what Ive read anyway. But the 9600 Pro is smaller Micron .13 so it can take a HIGH Core MHz.. :)
