Hey all I just came back from vacation in Palm Beach, where i bought a lot of cool hardware. I installed everything and overclocked. The thing is, i can get in windows fine, i can run prime 95 fine, 3d mark 2001/2003.

Under Win 98SE, with this version, it's impossible to format a blank CDRW for INCD. When a blank CDR or a blank CDRW is mounted in the writer (plextor 12 10 32 A), the PC hangs until the CD is out.

Radeon problems

I downloaded Catalyst 3.2 and control panel. Installed. Windows lags to hell, and I sometimes get screen flickers. I tried the CD install and still nothing works right.

I just bought a new Radeon 9800 Pro 128Mb card, and I have this problem with Counter Strike game. Whenever I alt tab out of game and try to go back in, I got a black screen and it just freezes.

New Board reccomendations

Ok people, My Board is crap (Gigabyte GA-8IDML) and I want to replace it but I have PC133 memery and can't afford to upgrade the board and memery at the same time so what I want is a board that runs both PC 133 and DDR (not at the same time as its not possible).

Nforce 2 Data corruption using Third Party IDE ATA RAID Ctrl

I was, untill installing my Asus A7N8X mobo, using a Silicon Image Medley RAID PCI card. After fitting the Mobo, in over a week i lost about 40 gigs of data due to corruption problems on all IDE devices that were connected to the RAID controller.

Another DivX question.

When I encode a file using DivX and I preview it in Windows Explorer (Thumbnail view), the preview image is all green. Nothing, just a green screen. Any ideas on how to get the actual preview image to work ? If it matters, I encode with VideoMach or VirtualDub, and the latest DivX codec.

Win XP Pro Activation

I've installed win xp 3 times now,different upgrades my last upgrade was 2 120GB Seagate Serial ATA Harddrives. I did a clean install an went to activate windows an it said I had to call microsoft for a new activation code,is there anyway around this? :cry: I do alot of swapping i'm currently waiting for the ATI 98 ...
